My coaching philosophy is that quality coaching makes quality players.
With that, I always hold myself and my goalkeepers to the highest levels of professionalism. My coaching approach is based on the ‘player first’ principle and doing what is best for the player's development always comes first and foremost.
I concentrate on developing technically sound goalkeepers with strong shot-stopping skills, confident command of the defensive third (including reading through balls and dealing with crosses), consistent distribution and excellent organization of defense skills. While I place an extensive focus on learning and mastering proper technique, my trainings also challenge goalkeepers to make good decisions and increase understanding of the game through various game-like situations.

Quality Coaching Makes Quality Players.
Vasily originally came to the country to pursue a soccer scholarship back in 2009. While playing at college, he started his coaching career by working at soccer camps before taking on team coach’s duties for Charlestown Youth Soccer Association’s teams in 2011.
However, being a goalkeeper himself and having tremendous passion for this unique position, Vasily’s professional focus ultimately became goalkeeper coaching and development.
Now, Vasily has over five years of goalkeeper-specific coaching experience, having worked with goalkeepers of various skill levels and ages, and has coached goalkeepers to academy and national team levels.

I like working with Vasily because it is sort of like working with a personal trainer, even if there are others training with you. He is always willing to adjust his training in order to make you better, I have never seen a coach changing his drills or training specifically to work on your weaknesses. Vasily has changed my perspective on how to train by personalizing trainings. He taught me to "work on something constantly until it becomes muscle memory" and I have used that in many parts of my life.
